FREE CONCERT ALERT!

Join us for POLKA PALOOZA – an exciting and free Forte Concert at 7 pm on January 16 that celebrates the rich and diverse heritage of South Omaha through the lively rhythms of polka music!

The concert will feature a dynamic mix of musical performances, including brand new arrangements of polka norteños from the state of Chihuahua, performed by spirited folkorico dancers from El Museo Latino. In a true celebration of community, Bobby Z and Polka Joy (pictured) are making a triumphant return from retirement to share their signature polka sound.

Experience the traditional Czech and Polish polkas and Huapangos featuring the talented musicians from South and Central High Schools, along with South High’s Mariachi Band. The evening also includes performances by the German-American Society and Polish Home dancers, highlighting how polka connects communities with its joyous rhythms and lively steps.
